Video editing
Rock Climbing Video
I used Adobe Premiere Pro to produce this edited video of Matt the rock climber describing his experience as a rock climber and also videos of him climbing and using the equipment needed to have a successful climb.
I kept the video fast-paced by cutting a lot of clips together so that the audience can see what goes into rock climbing as well as informing them on Matt's thoughts throughout the interview playing in the background.
Near the end of the video I had managed to extend the clips so much that I needed to loop the music so I used a fade feature to hide this repetition as best as I possibly could.
Whilst editing I decided I wanted a nostalgic feel to the video and I wanted it to inspire people to go out and rock climb so I kept the video and the interview clips relevant to each other so that it tells a story and gives the audience insight to what it's like to rock climb.
I am proud of my first attempt at editing however I believe it could have been made longer and some of the speaking parts could have been cut and made louder so the message is made clearer. Also, I could have looped the music better so it wasn't obvious that I had to use the same part over again to fit the longer video. Finally, I am happy with my clip composition and believe that as a first edit I have done a good job.
