What I've learned
So far I have learnt the basics of media such as how to use premiere pro and audition to get a well-produced video and I have edited 3 full videos using these tools. Also, I have learnt more about the industry and different types of equipment and techniques there are so that you get a different result and quality. I have learnt how to use a recording studio and how to set up sound, recording and editing equipment. I have written 4 pages on all the work that I have so far and they go into detail on camera angles, lighting, research and other topics. I have learnt more about different types of research and stretched my knowledge on the techniques I already knew about. Finally, I have also learnt how to set up and use a website that is high quality and well laid out so that the reader can get the most out of reading it.
What went well
I am proud of my blog and all my edits I feel are very high quality. I manage the work well and never feel overwhelmed. I have learned new skills. I take each lesson in my stride and take in all the information I am given and always try to expand my knowledge so that I am working to the best of my ability and maybe even a bit more.
What could be improved
I could stretch myself more and look further to improve myself and my work is slightly weaker areas. I could go back and look again at work I have completed in a more critical way so that final product is the best of my ability. I need to refine some skills such as keeping the quality of filming (such as a steady camera) high and also looking at my edits more critically and improve the way I edit.
Video Editing review
Throughout this project I was proud of how I dealt with the workload and the final product is something that I believe is the best of my ability at this point in the course. I had to adjust it due to recording on my phone at some points to get a better image but it meant the frame wasn't filled with the recording so I had to change the size of each video. Also to help with clarity in the video I added text on the screen so that the audience can follow along easier and that the how-to video is more interesting than before. In addition to this, the audio was a bit strange and the music was overpowering the voice-over so I adjusted this to also help with clarity. Finally, with the overall video, I wanted it to be a visually pleasing edit so I put in transitions and music so that the audience is happy with watching it until the end as it is an interesting video as well as an informative one.
