Stella Armitage-Ward - UAL Creative Media Level 3 Year 1
1) Camera angles reflection
In this sub-unit, I learned a lot about how to use different angles in films effectively to change the audience's opinion or view on the scene playing in front of them. I managed to be very organized and didn't struggle with the workload and I didn't need a contingency plan to help with my work. I looked further into the subject and went onto the website https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/video/tips-and-solutions/filmmaking-101-camera-shot-types and it expanded my knowledge on the subject.
2) Setting up a camera/tripod
This was a very brief unit that I found very simple to complete. It was explained very well and I followed the steps very easily and can set up both of these pieces of equipment without any issues.
3) Sound recording
The sound recording sub-unit was another unit I had a bit of knowledge on however I did learn a lot more about studio recording and better terminology to be used alongside recording sound. I know which equipment is better for different areas of sound and I also know the differences between mobile sound equipment and studio recording equipment to get the best quality of sound that I can get.
4) Production paperwork
When I was learning about pre-production paperwork I found that a lot of them were simple and basically explained what they were in the title. It was also explained very well and when it was time to look at each piece then write them up ourselves, I found I had no problem knowing what to write in each section and what paperwork I would need to complete for a project that I would like to complete.
5) Premiere Pro
Overall when I used Premiere Pro, I found we were only taught the basics and I learned different techniques on the site through trial and error and also from youtube videos and intuition. This section is where I learnt the most as I had no pre-knowledge on how to use the application and also I now have skills to edit a video that I didn't have before.
